How to grow your email list should be your top priority when you just start building a business online.

The internet is very noisy and you need to collect readers that match with your topic. People that genuinely are interested in the content you are creating.

This is such a huge challenge, and only by practicing, you can become better.

Finding the junction and building a business right there!

This is a two side relationship, you and your reader. And as any other relationship, you will need to find a common interest.

If you create content about something your love but your readers don’t find interesting at all. Doesn’t work.

If are not interested in what your audience want to read. Doesn’t work either.

As you can see, it is fundamental to find the place in the market where your want to interact with. You need be useful for those who you want to attract to your email list.

You can create the most amazing content in the world but if this content doesn’t resonate with your target audience you are doing nothing. The primary focus has to be in solving a meaningful problem to your audience, so focus on that every single time you create new a fresh content.

But at the same time, we are building a lifestyle business so you need to feel identify with that content, in other words, has to resonate with you as well. This about both, your audience and you.

Create great content for your email list as well

Some people think that the whole goal is to attract people to the email list. That’s all. Job done!

But actually, then start the real job: keeping that people already subscribe and interested in what you have to say. This means continuing to create great content for them.

Remember, we are building a business because we want to support our perfect lifestyle with it and at the same time feel self-realised. If you want to be a blogger enjoying with an audience, sharing great staff but not building a business. Then is fine for you.

Otherwise, you will need to establish a deep communication with your subscribers. This is commonly called sales funnels, and by the way, a lot of people talking about building a business around an Audience don’t talk enough about how important it is to success with your lifestyle business.

Make it fun!

Will you follow somebody deeply boring? Maybe for a while if that person has something great to say but probably not for too long.

I am thinking now on Marie Forleo, she is unique making funny content on a natural way. Is the kind of person you would like to hang out having a cup of coffee because you know that’ll be fun.

People learn better if they are entertained, we look for any scientific explanation for this but people simply learn better and happier if they are having fun. And you want this feeling in your audience when they consume your content.

There is a large number of ways that you can entertain your audience but be careful, you must adapt your “funny levels” to your particular industry.

If you are working in the financial industry you should be entertaining in a different way if you are n the fitness industry.

But the most important thing here is to find your personal way to be funny and entertain your audience, have to be natural and honest. Don’t worry if you are not a super comedian, this is not what you need either!

Create valuable, new and fresh content

I know seems obvious to say that on a blog talking about how to create an audience with content marketing but, essentially is the base of this. So I have to say to you this, again!

The internet doesn’t need more boring copy-pasted content. People need to solve problems, and the need new and innovative ways to solve these problems.

How can you solve the main problems of your industry from a new different angle?

That’s a great question. On my opinion much better and productive than the typical question (copy-pasted question indeed): how can you narrow your micro niche?

If you don’t have a great USP (Unique Selling Point) even if you narrow down the perfect micro-niche, you’ll do nothing!

So please, don’t martyr yourself before start your business finding your perfect niche market when you still don’t know what’s your USP.

Finding a different angle is an interesting way to start with this. Your particular solution to solve those problems to your audience and the way the market is going to recognize you. Because you are different, valuable and fresh!

Content marketing is about satisfied your audience, satisfy your audience as much as you do with your best client because this is the way they will become your next best client.

Find new ways to create new and valuable content, solve problems from different angles and focus on your audience, they are the reason behind your business.

But at the same time, focus on yourself, this is deal between you and your business, you will create amazing things for your audience and your business will support your perfect lifestyle
